In a career spanning three decades Brian Conley has appeared in award-winning West End musicals and sit-coms, presented his own chat shows, recorded three albums and completed a number of sell-out tours of the UK. Born and raised in West London he studied Performing Arts at The Barbara Speake Stage School and at the age of 16 hit the road, making a living performing cabaret in nightclubs. After appearances on Five Alive and Live from the Palladium Brian was asked to present his own series Brian Conley - This Way Up which was followed by two series of The Brian Conley Show, both for ITV. This lead to television comedy roles including two series of the British Comedy Award series Time after Time (British Comedy Award for Best ITV Sitcom) and the role of Doug 'Dynamo' Digby, starring opposite Amanda Holden and Noddy Holder in The Grimleys for ITV. Other television appearances include roles in Last Of The Summer Wine, The Cruise, Baker Street and Judgement Day. Brian has also presented The National Lottery Show Live, hosted two series of Let Me Entertain You for the BBC, starred in his own An Audience With.... and hosted the Royal Variety Performance. In the West End Brian starred as Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang! Bang! at the Palladium and originated the role of Al Jolson in the Olivier Award winning Jolson at the Victoria Palace Theatre. He appeared in the hit comedy Elton John’s Glasses at the Queen’s Theatre on Shaftesbury Theatre and starred as Bill Snibson in Me And My Girl for a year at the Adelphi Theatre. In 2008 Brian starred as Harold Hill in the sell out run of The Music Man at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Brian has recorded three albums 'Stage to Stage' with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, 'Let The Good Times Roll' and 'Brian Conley Sings'. On film Brian starred in Circus with John Hannah and Eddie Izzard; Unconditional Love alongside Kathy Bates; Dream with Sinead Cusack; Arthur's Dyke with Pauline Quirk and joined Sean Bean and Christian Bale in the cult film Equilibrium. Throughout his career Brian has won numerous awards including The National Television Award for Most Popular Comedy Performer, Show Business Personality of the Year and the Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards’ Most Popular Performer. He received TV's top accolade when Michael Aspel presented him with the Big Red Book on This is Your Life and has addressed the Oxford Union. Brian stars in Hairspray straight from a sell out tour of the UK with The Best Of Brian Conley and in December he returns to the stage for his own production of Cinderella at the Palace Theatre in Southend-On-Sea. Brian lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife Anne-Marie, their two daughters Amy and Lucy and Maisy the dog. His hobbies include trying to park his car in the West End.
Les Dennis is acknowledged as one of Britain’s most popular entertainers and as well as being well-known to TV viewers through ITV game show Family Fortunes, he has a long list of theatre, film and television credits to his name. His theatre work includes Amos Hart in Chicago (West End); Bill Snibson in Me And My Girl (West End); Robert in Don’t Dress for Dinner (UK tour); Tom in Skylight (Watermill Theatre, Newbury); Geoff Lazenby in Mr. Wonderful (Gateway Theatre, Chester); Paul Sheldon in Misery (Oldham Coliseum); Dennis in Just Between Ourselves (UK tour); Sergeant Major in Cherished Disappointments in Love (Soho Theatre); Yvan in Art (UK tour); Norman Bartholomew in Murderer (Menier Chocolate Factory, London); The Gangster in Kiss Me Kate and Neville in Neville’s Island (Birmingham Repertory Theatre). He played on tour and the Edinburgh Festival both as Nick Chase in Marlon Brando’s Corset and McBride in Certified Male. He toured as Truffaldino in The Servant of Two Masters for The Wales Theatre Company, directed by Michael Bogdanov; he was the narrator in Side by Side by Sondheim in London and in 2008 he toured and played a West End season in the award-winning comedy musical as Sergei in Eurobeat, Almost Eurovision. In 2009 he played in seasons of JB Priestley's When We Are Married at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and the Playhouse Theatre, Liverpool. He made his film debut in Intimate Relations with Julie Walters and Rupert Graves and other film work includes Large and Wildlife. Born and brought up in Liverpool, Les started in a showbusiness career immediately after leaving school. His early TV comedy series included Russ Abbot's Madhouse (ITV and BBC); The Laughter Show with the late Dustin Gee and The Les Dennis Laughter Show (both for BBC). Other TV credits include: Merseybeat and Casualty (both for BBC); Brookside (Channel 4); Quest II directed by David Jason (ITV); Extras for Ricky Gervais; The Sound of Musicals; New Street Law and Holby City (all for BBC) and The Bill (ITV). He hosted In the Grid (Channel 5);TV Now And Then (UK TV) and Les Dennis’s Home Video Heroes (Challenge TV). Radio work includes: Like They’ve Never Been Gone; Bob Gives Up His Day Job; Talking to Ted and Going For Broke (all for Radio 4) and as Luther Billis in South Pacific (Radio 2). The paperback of his autobiography Must The Show Go On? (Orion) was published earlier this year.
